Tmoney99 (4652), Cincinnati, Ohio, USA Aug 4, 2008 Draft at Seven Bridges brewpub. Poured hazy brown color with an average frothy off-white head that was mostly lasting with good lacing. Moderate caramel malty and hoppy aroma. Medium body. Medium bittersweet grainy flavor with an average smooth bittersweet finish of moderate duration. Good change of standard styles brew. yayforbeer (641), Orange Park, Florida, USA Jun 20, 2007 Updated: Aug 2, 2008Pint on cask at the Seven Bridges Brewpub in Jacksonville FL. Had this about the end of April and forgot to rate it. Amber beer with a creamy white head. Aroma was lightly hoppy and pale malts. Flavor was malty and biscuity, with a good hop presence, but some odd flavors floating about. Not bad flavors, just unexpectedly different. Not enjoyable enough for me to go back for more, but certainly a decent enough drink. .. .. 07-15-2008 .. they brought it back as a seasonal, and I tried it again.. tasted sharp, green. Had a funky raw aroma. Not up to the usual standards for this brewpub. Maybe a few weeks of aging would settle it down, but this was hard to drink this year. Immediately switched to their regular IPA with better results. Retorp (2154), Tampa, Florida, USA Jun 16, 2007 Has a carmelized grain/malt aroma with mild toastted abd dark fruit notes. Amber in color with a lasting, creamy white head. A little bit of diacetyl in the first sip followed by caramel, toasted malt some alcohol and some light biscuit notes. Very nice mouthfeel. Tastes a little shipyard/ringwood like, but that has never bothered me and doesn’t here.
