Cask at GBBF 2006. A slightly hazy dark orange beer with no head. The aroma is sweet fruity. The flavor is also sweet fruity, but also with a light touch of diacethyl and caramel, leading to a dry fruity end.

Great British Beer Festival 2006. Amber coloured. Thin malt, biscuits and some saccharine sweetness. Poor.

Cask (GBBF 2006): Copper in colour. Lightly hoppy, but overall quite a boring bitter. Simple and lacks depth.

On tap at GBBF, August 2006. Day 1, beer #11. Pale amber colour. Light citric hops with just a touch of bitterness, although the hops rather went AWOL on the finish. Clean and entirely palatable but rather insubstantial. Can’t find anything else to say.

Cask conditioned at Banbury Beer Festival 06. Pale gold with white bubbly head. Thin in body and flavour with a sharp medicinal flavour and a perfumey nose. Wouldn’t be an easy drinking Boys Bitter. Unfortunately not too good but does have a gentle hoppy bite at the finish which improved the marks.
