Fin (2348), Merton, Oxfordshire, England Jun 1, 2008 Cask at FFTMC, Oxford, 01-06-08 Pours burnt gold colour bubbly with small white head. Some sweet watery syrupy aromas, taste is also initially sweet but this quickly fades. Some bitterness shows and clings to the roof of the mouth but otherwise quite shallow with little else going on, still its nice to be able to review a Shardlow beer and it get a decent mark, my previous ratings have been 0.7, 0.7 and 2 I think. hughie (2254), Bedford, Bedfordshire, England May 18, 2008 Cask at Wellington Arms, Bedford. Amber with a small white head. Cardboardy fruit aroma, though not displeasing. A little malty sweetness in the taste and a mid bitter finish. I’ve had several Shardlow beers recently and have been quite impressed. This one was alright but not memorable.
