Commercial Description:
Bottle Conditioned, Occasional;
Honey-Spice Wheat Beer 6.4% ABV 660ml Brewed with Golding and Bobek hops, wheat and barley malts, fermented with local honey and conditioned with spices for over 6 months. Honey-Spice Wheat Beer is light and spritzy with a sparkling effervescence. Its spicy-citrus aroma make it great for relaxing on a warm summers day or for enjoying with salads, seafood or white fish. Hand-made in very small quantities the beer is unfiltered and bottle conditioned. If you like it clear, the bottle should be left at least 48 hours before serving and then poured carefully to avoid disturbing the yeast sediment. If you prefer it cloudy then just go for it! Serve the beer in an oversized wine glass or a chunky wheat beer glass at 8-10oC.

Bottle 330ml from Sainsbury’s, Christchurch. Sweet aroma with a hint of spice. Reasonable pour - a little cloudy but I could have let it settle a little longer. The taste was on the sweet side but not too sweet but I was disappointed because I could not detect the spices in the taste. This really was not the beer that I though it was going to be.

Bottle from Sainsbury. Clear copper with a rocky off white head. A little spice on the aroma. A little honey. Quite warming in the mouth. Quite full. Some decent hop and spice on end. Not as bad as I’d expected. More cultured and integrated than I thought. It’s absolutely fine, bit of honey on finish. Heat gives it fullness in mouth. Fine.

330ml bottle at 6.0% ABV from Sainsburys. Amber with a thick loose white head; aroma has spicy hops and honey; the flavour is full of real honey, with the sweetness counterbalanced with an underlying sour grain; the finish has some orange fruit but is ultimately sticky and sweet.

Unsurprisingly, spiced honey nose. Pours copper/gold with a very lacey head. Flavour is thirst-quenching with sweetness from the honey, a mild sour tanginess, some orangeade and a dry, sharp finish.

330ml bottle. pours a good, bright amber with a medium dense duvet of a white head. floral-citric aromas, nectar/hay/grapefruit flavours. little thin and short lasting but well balanced carbonation.
