"Delicious jellied fruit aromas blend perfectly with inviting roasted notes. The mouthfeel is succulent with dried fruit, malt and delicate hop bitterness. The finish is lingering and warm with fruit and malt notes."

Bottled 0,50L. Red clear color, intense reddish reflex with elegant and very crisp aspect. BUlky and persistent head. Pleasant resin aroma, wood, toasted malty content. Extremely british taste with typical bitterish and dark honey rumors. Alcoholic final, very pleasant, balanced. I like vey much this kind of beer. Thanks to Nello for this one.

Cask (gravity) @ National Winter Ales Festival 2009, Manchester, England.
Clear medium amber orange color with a small, fizzy, virtually none lacing, fully diminishing head. Aroma is moderate malty, roasted, fruity. Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter with a average duration. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft to flat. [20090124]

It’s lightly malted aroma belies its intense and deep flavour. Smooth and heavy with sweet malt characters it brings a lot to the table. Biscuits and a light dryness make an appearance later in the progression following a heady booziness. Hearty and thirst-quenching.

Handpulled cask at the Case is Altered, Eastcote. Nothing particularly special about this ’Special Ale’. It’s a bit stronger than the Doom Bar, but tasted back to back it’s not massively different. Dark amber colour, small but persistent head, bitter and hoppy with a sugary sweet middle, dry finish. Some roasted malt flavors. Rather ordinary.

Cask, Hinckley Fest 08. Dark amber brown with a small off-white head. Aromas are toffee malts with spices. Grapefruit with some floral notes. Flavours are sweet toffee malts with juicy fruitiness. Bitter grapefruit on the finish.

Cask @ Oluthuone Leskinen, Oulu, Finland. Hazy orange to amber colour. Thin but dense, creamy head. Aroma is fresh and it has both citrus and floral hop elements, some yeast and toffy malts. Flavor is medium bitter with sweetish malts and some yeasty sourness in the finish. Palate is medium bodied, smooth and soft carbonated. Quite ok bitter, but I expected to have more hops.

Cask@1st Hinckley Beer Festival, 2008. Dark brown beer with a caramel and hopped aroma. The flavour is lightly roasted, caramel and mildy dry. Overall a nice drinkable hopped and roasted beer.
