Shed Big Pig Imperial Stout

Draft at the brewpub - Poured a very dark brown/black in color with a medium dark tan head. Some nice lacing on the glass. Aroma was intense of darkly roasted malts, espresso with hints of chocolate. Palate was quite smooth and medium thick. Flavor was strong of very dark malts and espresso. Smaller amount of dark fruits and chocolate as it warmed up. Alcohol was not present n the flavor, but you could tell that there was plenty by the time you got near the bottom of the pint. One of the better Vermont-brewed imperial stouts that I have had recently. Worth seeking out if you are close by...
