Shed Dunkelweizen

On Draft at brewery. Pours bronze with a small off-white head. Aroma of citrus, bananas, spices, and caramel. Flavor is the same as the aroma, good body, great brew.

Pint at the brewpub. No head, though there’s a touch of lace, atop a clear root-beer body...aroma of proper banana, clove, with some maple and caramel thrown in for added gooey sweetness, a bit much but I’ve got the sweet nose and like it....body at first lusciously sweet, carbonation fairly heavy to compensate, with some interesting herbal-cola characteristics, light fruity esters...could be fuller, and inappropriate rather strong alcohol notes diminish the potential, also seems a bit too clean, filtered? No-no for a wheat beer! Anyway, a mixed bag.
