Brown to deep amber pour with off white head and lace. Roasted maltiness with some peatiness. Rich sweet malt with a light sour finish. Medium bodied with decent carbonation. A solid beer a bit more complex than your standard BP offering.

Bottle at PilsnerPeter’s Ratebeer Spring Gathering. Deep amber beer, thin head. The aroma is lightly molassesey with a touch of soft toasted wheat. Light brown malts, a touch of caramelized sugar and a light sweet plumminess. Flavour is less sweet than the aroma suggests. Nice light maltiness, a touch of dark fruit and a bit of cocoa as well. It’s pretty good, really.

Nice malty sweetness of a scotch ale without too much smoke. Some toffee and bready aroma and taste. Easy, not too bad.

Pours orange amber into a thistle. Off-white head fills the glass and is slow to recede. Sour chalk aromas. Sweet biscuit and cookie. Heavily carbonated and sharp. Lasting sour chalk finish.
