Jul 21, 2009 Brown to deep amber pour with off white head and lace. Roasted maltiness with some peatiness. Rich sweet malt with a light sour finish. Medium bodied with decent carbonation. A solid beer a bit more complex than your standard BP offering.

Jun 7, 2009 Bottle at PilsnerPeter’s Ratebeer Spring Gathering. Deep amber beer, thin head. The aroma is lightly molassesey with a touch of soft toasted wheat. Light brown malts, a touch of caramelized sugar and a light sweet plumminess. Flavour is less sweet than the aroma suggests. Nice light maltiness, a touch of dark fruit and a bit of cocoa as well. It’s pretty good, really.

Jun 4, 2009 Bottle at PPRBSG09. Pours a clear brown with a small head. Aroma of super sweet caramel malt and some roasted notes. Flavor of roasted malt mostly. Sweet and bland but not too bad.

May 31, 2009 Bottle at PilsnerPeter’s Spring Gathering. Pours a light clear brown with a light beige head. Light sweet malt on the nose. Nice body, touch sweet and smooth. Very drinkable, and nicely balanced.

Aug 8, 2008 Pours orange amber into a thistle. Off-white head fills the glass and is slow to recede. Sour chalk aromas. Sweet biscuit and cookie. Heavily carbonated and sharp. Lasting sour chalk finish.
