Draught and growler cask conditioned 08’ @ GLB. Low carb scottish ale with sweet malty notes, biscuit and diactel. I like this beer on cask a lot more. Honey, mild tobacco, and soft hops. Carbonated sensibly for the style. A solid ME brew.

i am very confused by some of the flavorless and offensive comments. Yes, the carbonation is low and this may not travel well but it is one tasty brew. The head disapates pretty quickly into a orange/brown looking beer. It has a sweet, roasted aroma that is very nice on the senses. A smooth full bodied scottish ale that is a bit on the sweet side. Very, very good. Picking up a growler today.

Draught @ Great Lost bear. Deep red with very thin white head. Lacing. Crystal malt aroma. Flavors are soured like an old dish rag. Flat. Mildly offensive.

Bottle. Pours amber brown with a light tan head. Aroma of toasted malts, brown sugar, light caramel, and has a touch of toffee. Flavor is mild caramel, light peat, smoke and a hint of hops. medium bodied with a smooth round finish.

I had this beer onDraft in Wiscasset, Maine.I thought of it as a brown ale, It had plenty of flavors, malt, tobacco and a nice finish. Not much head or carbonation

4/21/2008: Sheepscot Pemaquid Ale is clear brown in color and has a diminishing off-white to beige-colored head. Weak chocolate, coffee, and roasted malt can be found inthe aroma. This beer tastes slightly burnt and some butterscotch (diacetyl) is definitely evident. There is a soft herbal/grassy-like hop flavor and bitterness as well. This beer has an average boty and palate. It is just okay overall.

Pint (draught) at The Great Lost Beer in Portland, Maine. Rating #28 for this beer...

Sampled from bomber, courtesy TheCheeseMan. Slightly cloudy reddish-copper color with a broken white head. Wet grains on the aroma, slight caramel, not much else. Bland - tastes like a slightly toasty brown ale. Not much going on here at all. No richness, even the malt character was pretty weak.
