4/21/2008: Sheepscot Boothbay Bitter had a hazy amber/burnt orange appearance. The frothy off-white head left thick lacing on the glass. The aroma is hoppy (leafy and somewhat grassy) which seemed to be Cascade hops. The flavor ha a light butter toffee bitterness followed by a soft and citrusy Cascade (?) hop bitterness. The body of the beer was medium and it was soft on the palate. This is a good beer from the cask!
Pint (draught) at The Great Lost Beer in Portland, Maine. Rating #13 for this beer...

Citrus and piney hops dominate the aroma. The same citrus and pine hops dominate the flavor to a great degree with enough malt to help balance the hops in the beer, A true APA. A nice medium body with only moderate carbonation. A very drinkable, full flavored, pleasant ale. I’m impressed. Love to have something like this local. VTHopHead (915), Barre, Vermont, USA
