Nothing stands out really, but when the cask is in fine form, this can be a satisfying pint for a session. CapFlu (3483), Victoria, British Columbia, Canada

4/21/2008: Sheepscot Boothbay Bitter had a hazy amber/burnt orange appearance. The frothy off-white head left thick lacing on the glass. The aroma is hoppy (leafy and somewhat grassy) which seemed to be Cascade hops. The flavor ha a light butter toffee bitterness followed by a soft and citrusy Cascade (?) hop bitterness. The body of the beer was medium and it was soft on the palate. This is a good beer from the cask!
Pint (draught) at The Great Lost Beer in Portland, Maine. Rating #13 for this beer...

Faint hop and malt aromas. Nice hops flavor, well balanced with malt. Hints of fruit. Mouthfeel is low carbonation as expected from a cask ale. This beer alone made the trip to Maine worthwhile.
