2008 Bottle - Thanks jake65! - pours a thin dk brown with a faint head...aroma is light, dark malt, a bit bready...flavour is similar, I get the chocolate, I get the cake, not a grand brew, a bit thin but who wouldn’t want to drink an alcoholic donut?

Dark brown in color with a medium sized beige head. Aroma is of a grease vat, peanut oil, and chocolate. Taste is of sweet donut dough, chocolate and peanuts.

Bottle: Deep brown pour with a modest tan head. Aroma is sweet and chocolate over a light roasted malt base. Plenty of sweet. Tastes chocolatey sweet with light roast and plenty of sugar. It does seemingly have that frosted donut taste! Quite the novelty (I’d been wanting to try thius ever since I learned of it’s existence) and I must thank nimbleprop for sending this my way.

Pitch black coloured body with a nice tan head, almost 100% opaque. Aroma of - you guessed it - Chocolate Donuts! Such a wierd scent for a beer - but this one is spot on! Full-bodied; Strong sweet taste up front of choolate with a completely describable donut flavour as well. Malt and roasted sugars are also noticable with a bunch of coffee thrown in too. Aftertaste is very sweet and very donut-like. Overall, just like the name says and not really a gimmick-beer, just a good sweet stout that was amazing to try. I’d definitely have this one again if I could find it! I sampled this beer on draught as a sampler at the Shirlington Oktoberfest in Arlington, Virginia on 07 October 2006.

Definitely delivers on the name. Pint glass from bottle. Thanks to the old kmweaver blood relative for this one. Amazing aroma, smells of dark chocolate donut, complete with icing. hints of vanilla in both taste and aroma. Mostly opaque, with a mahogany/milky color. Sweet chocolate donut to the tongue, but the flavor dies quickly and the aftertaste turns to bitter burnt dark chocolate quickly. Does what it sets out to do.

Smell is grains, malts, chocolate, sweet, and doughnuts. Look is cloudy, brown, with a beige colored head. Taste is yeast, sweet, like a doughnut. Oily. Different but good.

The chocolate definitely shows through in this one along with a sugared element that I can definitely link to the planned donut flavor. Medium-bodied and smooth with the chocolate showing through again.

(12oz. bottle, courtesy of mar) Pours a cloudy brown body with a small beige head. Aroma of a greasy fryer, rabbit food, chocolate, and nuts. Flavor of sugar, doughy, chocolate, and caramel malt.
