hopdog (4525), Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA Apr 25, 2008 12oz bottle acquired in trade with kmweaver (thanks!). Poured a medium and lightly hazy goden color with a small sized white head. Aromas of raspberries (freah and hairy!) and all around berries. Tastes of raspberries with some wheat. I wish there was some raspberry or wheaty tartness in the finish... egajdzis (2947), Terrapin, Pennsylvania, USA Apr 24, 2008 Poured a lightly hazy amber color with a small, off white head that faded to a collar. Aroma of raspberries, skin, light cherry, grains, toast, and toffee. Taste of toffee malts, tart wheatiness, and a sweet raspberry finish. radagast83 (1036), Springfield, Virginia, USA Apr 20, 2008 Bottled from Shenandoah. Pours a cloudy yellow color, medium white head. Aroma is almost exactly like a raspberry syrup. Flavor is well, not as good at the aroma, but a decent raspberry flavor. kmweaver (1948), Takoma Park, Maryland, USA Mar 8, 2008 Draft @ Shenandoah. This brewery most definitely has some hits and misses, and this one just didn’t quite work for me; at least there’s always something interesting and new. Pours a cloudy, yellow-brown color; huge, creamy off-white head that last forever with sticky lacing (the glass was originally pure foam). Slight aroma showing some toastiness and raspberry syrup; a bit soapy. Creamy texture in a medium mouthfeel: solid presence of raspberry syrup, overlayed on a slightly chewy wheat core; hardly dense or exceedingly flavorful, but nothing rough or flawed here; quite drinkable. Medium, grainy finish: dry wheat and a touch of fruit juice.
