Botella. Courtesy of yespr. Clear amber, hardly any head. Toasted malt in the aroma along with some eyast, caramel and a bit of alcohol. Good bit oily mouthfeel. The flavour is sweet with dark fruits, toasted malt and caramel, some toffee and alcohol. A very good Eng. Strong Ale.

Bottel. [Courtesy of yespr, thanks buddy] Average creamy off-white head that mostly diminished. Spare lacework. Somewhat clear amber color. Aroma of prunes, raisins, fruit, mild alcohol, caramel, spice. Medium bodied with an average carbonation and mild alcoholic texture. Moderated sweet flavor with light bitterness. Alcoholic warming fruity finish. 7 / 3 / 7 / 4 / 14

Bottled. Tasting @ Kolding Bryglaug. Aroma has malts, raisin, is vinous and has some alcohol. Clear, copper coloured with an off-white head. Taste is sweet, with dark fruits, wine and malts. Good beer. Slick palate.

Bottle @ thewolf-and-his-flock-of-sheep tasting session. Clear orange color, medium off-white head. Aroma reminding of a good barley wine, sweet, malty, slight alcohol. Nicely balanced. Loved this.

Bottle vintage 1998. Thanks to TheWolf. Pours deep brown with a creamy white head. Aroma is super matured malty - caramel, vinous/port. Low carbonation. Oily & slick palate. Some dark fruits raisin & plum. An old cellar feel but doesnt really hurt the experience! Impressed & improved vintage!

Bottle @ thewolfs pre-festival tasting, Kolding.
Bought on nettorvet.dk.
[vintage 1998]
Pours deep brown with an impressive creamy beige head. Aroma has port, vinious, caramel and a little hops still. Low to medium carbonation and very oily palate. Flavour is great, some cellar-notes that only make it better, port, caramel, sweetness, vinious, prunes, rum. Very well balanced for this old a beer.

Bottle, than’s to Silk. Seem’s quite past it, a bit cardboardy. Alcohol doesn’t seem to have mellowed too much, quite a harsh alcoholic burn. One dimensional malt base and still lots of hops.
