Sep 18, 2006 Reddish amber bitter reeking beautifully of overripe bananas, and sharing Orval’s yeasty sharpness. Rich and malty, with suggestions of caramel and rum-soaked dried fruit. A potent finishing hop bitterness that develops a moreish butteriness after the swallow. Nicely balanced ESB all too easily quaffed by the pint measure.

Sep 6, 2006 Keg at The Bishop’s Arms, Göteborg. Deep golden to amber colour. Nice hoppy aroma with notes of toffee and sherry. Rich malty flavour with notes of toffee, caramel and some oak, but a little too sweet for my taste.
