Slightly hazy copper colour, smallish off-white head with decent lacing. Low carbonation, oily mouth feel. The powered-up hops are immediately noticeable in the strong citric aroma (whereas other Shepherd Neame ales tend to smell of bready malts), and they’re coming through on the palate as well. Bitterness is moderate when the malts finally register, and does not linger, but the citric notes make this a refreshing if not terribly complex brew. Neeskens (18), Sweden

There’s caramel from the malts as well, ending up in quite a nice brew. Lifts from the std neame ales. Joakgust (337), Stockholm, Sweden
