aroma is quite hoppy. flavour is the same, but i’[m getting a big metallic bite. yuck, once the metal is gone, you get a slightly sweet, and bitter finish. Doppelganger (1353), Dry County, Arkansas, USA
| 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 9/20 | Jan 31, 2007 Nice light brown pour with a persistent off-white cap of fine bubbles. Silly clear bottle, and in spite of my best effort to choose a bottle that was hidden from the store lights, skunking is the first thing noticeable about this beer. If a brewer is so dense as to put their beer in clear bottles, then any faults in their beer that result are fully in their court. So...skunk, and lots of it. Under that, some earthy woody notes and a bit of brown sugar. Flavor shows a blood-like metallic note, but beyond that there is a pleasant rustic malt. Some viney hops meander around the edges. Palate is a bit rough, like this beer was not intended for this much carbonation. I supect much better on cask, and I’ll have to give it a shot that way sometime. Tastes better than it smells. Looks nicer than it tastes. Not that nice overall. Marsiblursi (1649), Göteborg, Sweden

Caramel, cookie, toffee and a bit buttery malt aroma with some earthy, light grassy and spicy, hop tones . Creamy malt flavour with a medium bitter finish where you can detect a hint of dryness. A bit fruity. Light spicy but pretty soft mouthfeel. Light to medium body. faroeviking (6118), BjórtjóðveldiðBjórheimBjórsins, Faroe Islands
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jan 29, 2007 Bottle. Red-brown colour. Aroma of dark malts and dark fruits. Flavour of chocolate malt, good flower hoppiness, prunes and raisins. The finish is long lasting, bitter with some fruitiness and a slight smoky touch to it. | 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Jan 28, 2007 Bottle, pours slightly carbonated reddish copper colour with an off-white foamy white head. A sweet bready malt aroma with a fruity hoppiness. It is a little thin and watery, with too much carbonated. There’s a fruity maltiness, but is is astringent and metallic. Disappointing for me. greenmanalishi (299), Leicestershire, England
