Commercial Description:
Available filtered and pasteurised in bottles and cans.
NOTE: Only ratings for the bottled vesrion should be entered here. The cask version has a separate listing.

Full-bodied with complex fruit flavours, Bishops Finger is a strong premium cask-conditioned ale brewed to a traditional Kentish recipe. What’s behind the name? Well, a Bishops Finger is an unusual finger-shaped signpost still found in Kent, which once pointed pilgrims on their way to Canterbury. Only the finest malted barley, Kent hops and fresh water from our own artesian well are used in the production of one of Britain’s best-loved ales, which is also exported in bottles to more than 30 countries worldwide.

Rich, full color of Baltic amber, classy white head. Decent bitter aroma. Their real quality is under the hood. Starts a bit shy, with bitter bite but with time it does show full potential. Great texture, balancing. Nice, nice bitter one of the best I had so far...

Dark amber in colour. Aroma of caramel/toffee, citrusy hops. Flavour is nicely hopped, cirtusy, slightly dry and bitter. Finishes with a medium bitterness and dry.

Tasted in Toronto from LCBO. Possibly categorized at the LCBO as a new Fall beer. Deep red / copper colour. Well maintained fluffy white head. Floral spicy bitter aroma well hoped scent. Bitter flavour, sharp hopped bite with a slight malty finish.

Copper colour with a large beige pillowy head that lasts. Caramel hop aroma. Creamy body with hops and a good bitter balance in the back of my mouth.

Malty, strong hops aroma. Chestnut in colour, with a large toffee head, loads of lace. Orangey hops flavour, good malt, very nutty. Quite well balanced. Truly a fine example!

Draught. A rather thin beer with not much of an aroma. Bitter flavour with toffee. Not much to write home about...
