| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 17/20 | Aug 17, 2008 This is one of those beers that has a reputation attached. You know the kind; the ones that people tell hushed stories about around camp fires. Well maybe if I were in front of a roaring fire in an isolated old country pub on a pitch black night and the only other occupants were a three legged cat and a toothless old crone then just maybe I’d be allow myself to buy-into the reputation. However, I’m not. So to the beer... Rich mahogany coloured beer with an oaky resinous nose. Deep oak resins and red fruit-skin tannins dominate the body with a resinous raisiny bitter finish. Nice but not the stuff of legend. Xev (10), Sweden
