Juicy malt with good resinous hop flavours. 20 years ago all of Sheps beers were as good as this. It’s nice to know they are still capable of producing a quality ale showcasing their local hops. The flavour has a light, smooth sweetness with notes of caramel, roasted malt and a slightly dry and bitter citrus. It’s uncomplicated and charming. KimJohansen (7136), Copenhagen V, Denmark

Pours deep brown amber with a great, creamy yellow-white head. Aroma is very pleasant, fine caramel, pine, grass and flowery hops. Fine carbonation, lightly creamy. Good flavour, some caramel with a great hops profile. Dry bitterness with pine and grassy hops. A big positive surprise for me. Bragesnak (2281), Aarhus, Denmark
