Cask Conditioned
Very similar rating to the draught/bottle version, maybe even less interesting flavor, and better palate (lightly aromatic).

Cask. An amber beer with a thin tan head. The aroma is sweet malty and fruity, while the flavor is sweet malty with primary notes of caramel, leading to a dry and slightly bitter end.

[CASK: The Albert, Southport 06/03/07] This was my 100th cask ale that I tried and wow a great one to mark the milestone. A good flavour and a very good example of British ale - What more can you expect from Britain’s oldes brewer. Definatly worth trying.

Drought. Red clear colour, flat head. Aroma of malts, banana, citic, and a nice hopy end. Flavor is almost the same;flowers, citic, and a nice balance with malts and hops in the end. Light to medium body, and a light to medium finish.

A dark ruby in colour, with a light fruit nose and a typical fruity bitter flavour.

Cask at The Spanish Galleon, Greenwich. Malty aroma, perhaps underlying fruit. Darkish amber clor witha a large bubble whitish head. Seems a bit thin. Starts lightly malty, but a surge of hp finally appears. The malt is goneby the finish, leaving a relatively dry bitter.

Taste and nose are great, but I find the tap version to have a bit too little carbonation for my tastes. It seems to vary a little from time to time tho.
