Cask; Regular.
First brewed in 1958 to celebrate the lifting of malt rationing.

Cask at Wellington Arms, Bedford. Amber with a small white head. Slight sour fruit aroma. Malty taste is quickly followed by quite an intense ashy bitterness. Not bad.

Cask @ Charlie’s Bar, Copenhagen. Pours a clear dark amber colour with a small off-white head. Malty aroma with some hints of caramel. Fruity malty flavor with some hoppy hints. Has a dry malty finish with some bitterness in the aftertaste.

Cask at Wetherspoons Heathrow Terminal 2: Orange brown with a cream head which lasted to the end of the pint; malty aroma; smooth and full bodied in the mouth, dominated by the hops, leaving a pleasingly bitter aftertaste.

(Cask at Mabel’s Tavern, St Pancras, London, 30 July) Colour is mahogany with disappearing off-white head. Nose is malty with dark fruit and wild berries (blackberries). Taste is mainly malty with a balancing dark fruity character, notes of blackberries, raspberries, cherries and caramel. Balanced malty sweetness. Balanced dusty hop character in the finish. Very nice balance!

Red beautiful colour, aroma pleasant with some sweetness and grass. Small head. The flavour contained toffee, flowers and honey. The aftertaste was even sweeter. Beautiful as a whole.

Cask (or so I was told) at the Dubliner in Goteborg--#19 on the 2006 Europe tour-A creamy head sat atop a ruby/brown color brew with a fruity aroma. The taste was well balance with the malts on the front end and a hoppy finish with caramel taste lasting throughout.
