martinboer (1317), Amsterdam, Netherlands Jul 14, 2008 On cask at The Wilton Arms, Knightsbridge. Oaked red body. No Fuzzy. Hoppy and spicy nose. Taste of malt and caramel. A bit watery. Okay.
Lubiere (3231), Ottawa, Ontario, Canada Aug 19, 2008 A hazed amber ale with an extra thick onctuous light moka head. Light nutty malt aroma, non-descript. In mouth, a light malt with rather metallic hops. Thin bodied, unsatisfying. On tap at JD Wetherspoons, Heathrow, Mid November 2006. tompete (51), Burlington, Iowa, USA Jul 7, 2008 Ålborg, DK @ The Wharf. Dark yellow to light amber color with a fine head. Quite pleasing hop aroma - not too strong, not too light. Light body and a good balance of malt and hop bitterness. A hint of sweet on the initial finish and then bitterness for the lasting finish. fonefan (4333), Ulfborg, Denmark Jul 5, 2008 Cask gravity @ Ølfestival Aarhus 2008 @ Charlies Bar. Clear medium red brown color with a small, fizzy, fair lancing, mostly diminishing, white to off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, light to moderate hoppy, grass, pine. Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter with a average duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft - flat. (180508) bobinlondon (215), Harrow, Greater London, England Jun 30, 2008 Handpulled cask at JDW Watford. Lively pint, brown with good creamy head (without sparkler). Juicy malt with good resinous hop flavours. 20 years ago all of Sheps beers were as good as this. It’s nice to know they are still capable of producing a quality ale showcasing their local hops.
