Cask at the Nut Tree, Murcott, Oxon 08-02-09 Stated 3.5% on the pumpclip. Pours warm gold with white head. Aroma is quite hoppy which is not as noticeable in the mouth though it must be noted I did a few hoppy burps during the consumption of this, so there must have been a few in there. Some citrus flavours and reasonable bitterness. I wouldn’t have been bothered with another one of these that said it was a fine enough session beer. A6 A4 F6 P3 OV11 3.0

Cask-conditioned at the Bag ONails, Bristol, 6/2/09. Deep gold in colour with next to no head. Sweetish aroma and flavour, with some citrus fruit and a surprisingly spicy hoppy kick in the finish. Ok for the ABV.

Cask - Bramley’s Bar, Canterbury. A clear golden ale with an orange tint and a small white head. Fruit is plentiful in both aroma and flavour. A touch of nuttiness and some spicy hop flavours. Nice and light, quaffable and thirst-quenching. A woody and citrusy bitter finish, though light.

Half pint, hand pulled at Barony Bar. A few patches on the surface over a golden body. Floral fruity smell. Rounded and fresh taste of hops. Good cask ale for its low 3.5% ABV [On a rainy day in Edinburg, 25.10.2008].

A Mes rate: gravicask at the Bree Louise.
A clean golden brown colour with a good white head and rather impressive condition. Bloody hell I can smell hops! They may not be bowling me over but they are certainly there. Flavour wise it’s a boring but balanced bitter. Slight hops on the finish lend a bit of bitterness and give it a nice dry feel. Nice enough just very very dull.

Cask at the Bell, Hythe, Kent. Hazy gold with a trace of white head; apple aroma; chalky in the mouth with some restrained apple fruit and a malty body; dry finish. Rather non-descript and average.
