Light amber colour. Caramel and apple nose. The flavour is a mix of caramel parred with a hoppy bitterness that feels quite unusual. A good ale.

Cask (EBF2008) - 3.5% was on the cask’s label
Sweet farty hoppy aroma. Big sherbet hoppy taste, sweet. Quite interesting, and very good for 3.5%. Grainy finish.

Smallish coarse offwhite head. Light amber body. Sharp eggy sulphur aroma. Dry watery resiny taste with wooden sulphury notes. Dry sulphury aftertaste. Cask must have gone bad. (0.1l taster from cask at EBF ’08.)

Yeasty, hoppy and bitter. Has that distinctive Neame taste and copper colour - very good.

From cask. Pours clear and golden orange with a fully gone head. Fruity hoppy aroma with a light spice note. Bitter and mild nutty flavoured. Dry and towards slight spiced. Bitter into the far finish. Smooth and easy. Light fruity from the back of the nose.
