Commercial Description:
Pasteurised bottle.
This golden amber ale has a generous aroma of tropical fruit. The fruity flavour has hints of mangoes, oranges, lemons and sultanas. The pleasant floral hop balances this beer perfectly. It is a drying, warming, rounded ale to sip and savour at leisure.

Pours clear, amber colour with a small head. Mouthfeel is moderately thin, though not watery at all. Nice, rounded and warming. Fruity and hoppy aroma, a successful balancing between sweet and bitter.

50 cL bottle. Pours amber with littel white head. Aroma is fruity with sweet malt notes beneath. Almost perfumed aroma. Taste is fruity hops with a nice initial malt sweetness which goes into a rather dry / soft bitterness in the finish.

Looks descent but is quite fizzy for a strong ale. It has a quite nice malty flavour with some fruity esters and an ok bitter end. Unfortunately there is a bit of a sort of alcoholic, fusel-kind of taste and aroma. It really sets this beer back!

Dark amber colored, little light brown head. Aroma is bitterly hopped with caramel and hints of licorice. Medium bodied. Flavor is not as strong as aroma, still hoppy flowers and some licorice tones come up. Some lemon in aftertaste with metal. Basic Neame-product.

A Mes rate: 50cl bottle from some random offie. Typical Shepherd Neame, tastes pretty much like anything else they brew. Lifeless and bland. Usual toffee aroma and flavour. Maybe a little more sweetness than usual. Fairly malty. Nothing special at all.

A standard english ale-appearance, but this time with a lousy head. Is has a nice fruity hoppiness in the aroma with notes of caramel and banana. The flavor is no big surprise - again a standard ale with an easyliy caramelly and hopped flavor. The aftertaste isn’t any good surprise either - the only positive thing is the obvious hops. I´t is a dry beer and could have been better without the much carbonation.

Bottle, courtesy of John White. Amber bronze, thin but lasting white head and good condition. Gentle sweet caramel, some fruitiness and a little hoppiness in the nose, Soft caramel and a low burnt toffee note in the mouth with a hint of banana fruitiness and a slight apple citrus note. Gentle caramel and slight hop bitterness in the finish.
