A glowing amber winter ale with a heady fruity nose. Crystallised winter fruits combine with festive spicy hops on a platform of smooth warming alcoholic notes, leaving a refreshing cleansing hop finish.

good full bodied brew, not as bitter as I’d expected, I often find SN brews to be overly harsh & bitter, but this was well balanced. Smooth and malty with a hint of spice. I could happily sup a few of these, the 7% isn’t immediately obvious, a rather deceptive brew!

Bottle. Pours a beautiful clear, slightly amber, golden with a small off-white head. Dry malt aroma with some hops in the background. A bit of an alcoholic burn as it warms, but well-balanced. Malty cereal flavour with faint milky notes. Fruity, metallic and hop notes as it warms. Ends in an alcoholic finish, which is fairly balanced. Lingering hop bitterness and faint notes of apple. Vinous/vermouth-like touch as it warms. Also develops candy-like and cereal notes. 21-01-09.

Bottle@home Apperance: Lovely golden orange with a decent, white, head that vanishes quite quickly leaving some nice lacing. Aroma: Caramel, Apricot, Spices, Hint of metal, Hint of grass. Flavor: Caramel, Fruit, Malt, Light spicyness, Minerals. Palate: Very balanced brew with plenty of carbonation. Dangerously drinkable. Not really that special but just so damn smooth and drinkable. Wish it would taste a bit more of everything tho. Nice!

500 ml bottle. Amber. Crystal clear. Medium-sized white head that clings to the glass. Malty aroma with aromatic caramel. Toffee. Crisp hop bitterness, but not too overwhelming as it balances nicely with the rich malt sweetness. Feels surprisingly light in the mouth and there is not as much body as one could have expected. Finishes with hints of burnt caramel and earthy and metallic dry hops. Quite nice, and I would think that this one would go nicely with food.

This ale poured a nice copper colour with soapy looking white head. To the nose there are scents of hopps, citrus, a little juniper and caramel. First taste is smooth and full of nice flavour such as caramel, hopps, spice and juniper. Finish is malty with good solid hopp flavour. Not too bitter. The palate is hopps and caramel, spice. Very good.

Bottle (50 cl) from Systembolaget. Clear amber with a rich creamy off-white head. Bready malt aroma with almond paste and tropical fruits, and spicy and herbal hops. Well balanced with a moderate bitterness. Slightly alcoholic as the beer warms up. Nice.

Bottle (50 cl) from Systembolaget. Clear amber with a medium off-white head. Fruity and slightly caramelly aroma with notes of tropical fruits, prunes, and a touch of alcohol. Medium bodied with soft carbonation. Dry and bitter. I preferred the lower alcohol versions, in particular the 6% version.
