Evident perfumy orangey hops swim in toffee. Finishes with mediu mbitterness and some warming alcohol. Earlier Rating: 11/28/2007 Total Score: 3.3 Bottled. Nut brown, firm head. Perfumy, flowery hops up front. Sweet with clean mouthfeel. Solid, fruity nutty malt lies behind a good amount of perfumy hops. Uncomplicated, but full flavoured and quite good. | 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Dec 12, 2008 Bottled. Clear amber with a smallish head and some lace. Aroma of strong, stingy-herby hops and some citrus fruitiness. Buttery-malty, caramely flavor with sweet graininess emerging in the middle, followed by dryish, citrusy-herby hops. Alcohol is well hidden, but slightly warming. Medium body with slightly fizzy-foamy carbonation. Once again, quite similar to everything else from this brewery - and no signs of Christmas besides the label. stouby (1956), Holbaek, Denmark
