Cask conditioned handpump Moon On The Square Northampton A golden coloured beer with a white head. The aroma has good hoppiness with orange and lemon notes. Less frsh in the mouth but there are still citrus notes. Fairly decent.

Draught at Heatrow. Fluffy white head that lingers. Light amber color. Malty aroma with a fine typical English hoppy nose. Nice English hop taste as well with a small but apropriate bitterness. Light to medium body. The maly taste is a litle old/tired.

Cask at the Hope Tap (JDW), Reading. Amber with a soapy looking cream coloured head; a marvelous pine forest aroma - just what I expect from Cascade; citrus, resinous flavour; the finish is sweet at first then sharply bitter. A pleasant change from the usual SN.

Handpulled cask at JDW Stanmore. Gold with a creamy unsparkled white collar. The cascade hops come through in aroma and flavour. Not an assertive beer but subtely different from Sheps usual offerings and a welcome change.

Cask at Bankers Draft (JDW), Bedford, in ’Spoons BF ’09. Gold with a white head. Citric aroma. Citric grapefruit taste. Mid bitter finish. So no surprises there.

Cask conditioned at a Wetherspoons. Gold with white head. The initial flavours were a strong hint of lemon & lime, almost as if I had bought a shandy, but this developed into a light, sweetish, hoppy, biscuity beer that was fairly refreshing. Pretty reasonable.

Cask, Lord Keeper of the Great Seal, Oadby. Golden with a firm white head. Aromas are biscuit malts with light grapefruit. Quite crisp. Flavours are light biscuit and caramel malts with cream. Hints of citrus with a peppery finish. Not very exciting.
