Cask; Seasonal - February to May.
Early Bird Spring Hop Ale is brewed with the Early Bird single hop variety - hence the name! This light gold beer is full-bodied, distinctive and refreshing as a spring day, with a malty undertone.

Cask at Sun Inn Faversham, Kent. One of Sheps better seasonal beers. Good lemon citrus hop nose and a refreshing citric flavour with flowery hops. Still the usual Sheps slight yeast taste, but still pretty good

Pleasant, slightly burtonised, aroma. Spicy, hoppy taste with a touch of freshly cut grass. Easy to down. I like. Had two pints.

Copper with a good head and a sweet caramel scent. Bitter with some sweetness at the end. Malty with some hops and dry finish. I rather liked this one.

They say "an early bird catches le worm" and this Neame Spring ale does thus. It’s a light brown/amber in colour and, for me, tastes like it looks - light, citrusy refreshing and slightly creamy. Very refreshing - bring on the Spring says I!

(Cask/Real Ale at The Bishops Arms, Västra Hamngatan, Göteborg) Clear copper color, small tan head. Fruity, sweet and quite hoppy scent. Nice complex hoppiness, also fruity and sweet taste. Smooth mouthfeel, medium bitterness.

Ĺrhus2008. From cask. Pours clear and golden orange. Light hoppy aroma, nicely fruity/floral and inviting. Flavour is mild floral and bitter with a light acidic bitter touch. Subdued sweetness and mild spice note. Ends light fruity. Smooth and nice to keep sipping from.

Cask at Mable’s Tavern near King’s Cross. Medium amber color with an off-white head. Light floral hop aroma. Light fruity flavor, followed by mild roasted caramel, and, suddenly, decent hop. Finishes nicely bitter, if a tad metallic. Quite nice.

Cask Conditioned. Royal Standard, Wooburn Common. Fruity with a hoppy bitterness. Pretty good.
