Commercial Description:
Bottle; Pasteurised.
Goldings Summer Hop Ale is a light-flavoured bitter made with Kentish malt and fresh Goldings hops. Harvested from hop gardens within five miles of the Shepherd Neame brewery in Faversham, the beer is almost floral-scented, with a unique biscuity taste.

500 ml bottle. It poured a dark orange golden liquid with a medium foam and a nice lacing. It smelled of grass, wood, malt, bread and metall. It had watery and weak flavor with a metallic and stingy bitter aftertaste. Not my kind of beer.

The beer is nicely presented in the bottle, but apart from that its a pretty average brew. A nose of bread and hops. Taste is metallic and has a little too much funk in it for my taste.

500 ml bottle. Deep amber color, rich white head. Floral aroma. Hoppy flavor with some honey, malty finish. Light body, medium carbonation. Pretty good summer beer.

500ml bottle (Mallaskukko, Turku)
Dry peppery hop aroma. Citrus taste, almost lemonadey. Crisp, but very watery. However, a good gingery finish saves it. Not brilliant, but a pretty safe quaff.

(Bottle, 8 Nov 2008) Amber colour with firm, frothy, beige head leaving lots of lacing. Fruity, floral nose with orange, peaches, toffee and honey. Fruity, rather hoppy taste with orange peel, apricots, toffee and ryvita. Dry and nice finish with balanced notes of citrussy hops. Medium body, very refreshing. In short: orange, apricots and toffee refreshment.

Bottle 50cl. @ TFODRBSG 2008, Ulfborg, Denmark
Clear light to medium amber color with a small to average, frothy - fizzy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is light to moderate malty, oasted, caramel, light to moderate hoppy. Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter with a average duration. Body is light to medium, texture is watery, carbonation is soft to flat. (230808)

Bottle. A clear, dark golden beer with a mid-sized off-white head. Malty and bready aroma with a fruity touch, quite nice, but actually rather boring. The flavor is much the same, bready and malty, with caramel sweetness and some fruity hops, finishing in the same way. Could use some more bitterness. Quite dry mouthfeel. I find the beer a bit on the bready side, sure drinkable, but a bit ordinary. (080823)

Botella. Clear thin amber. Malty and grassy bit caramel aroma. Mild toasty maltiness with caramel and a plesant bitter hoppiness.
