Aroma: Candy - sweet tarts- malty and an unfortunate soapy hop aroma Flavour: Malty with a thin hop flavour mostly dominated by same soapiness as in the aroma. Good bitter hang Appearance: copper gold with an appealingly thick fluffy head Overall: Disappointing, lacks complexity. Soapy character overwhelms the beer. One dimensional. I expected more.

Golden amber ale with a thick white head. Initial skunky aroma followed by a light caramel malt with light herbal hops. In mouth, a rather light malt with some decent grassy hops, sustained and pleasant, very British. A light bitter for summer. LCBO July 2006.

Deep coper colour with a thin head. Skunky scent I hate. Lots of hops. Very bitter skunky taste. Slightly nutty with a bitter finish. I just don’t like they type of beer.

I poured this and had to leave the room and a few minutes later when came through the door the aroma filled the entire room. Floral with mild spice aroma and a rich frothy head. Tastes a lot stronger than 4.7% due to the alcohol flavor playing with the sharp bitterness. Cloying mouthfeel. If only it could taste as good as it smells. Cheers!

Bouttle from the LCBO. Clear ruby-copper colour with a thin white head. Aroma is subtle, sweet, with earthy notes and hops. Taste is a little sweet, notes of candy, caramel, malt, biscuits and a bitter aftertaste. Average.

Light copper in colour with surprisingly strong carbonation. A good amount of grassy and mild floral hops on the nose, with a bit of caramel on the back end. Quite fruity in the mouth, with more grasses. Dries out quite quickly, with a faint woody note on the brisk finish. The carbonation seems to wash all of the character and interesting flavors away. Thanks to Lubiere for the sample.
