Commercial Description:
Cask: Seasonal - September to November.
NOTE: Only ratings for the cask version should be entered here. The bottled version has a separate listing.
Late Red is a complex, richly-flavoured autumn hop ale. With an appropriately Autumnal auburn hue, this premium beer achieves a perfect balance between rich, dark malt flavours, and a strong, robust hoppiness.

Cask in the winlock arms. Alround rating: Decent leafy hop resin, bit of that annoying bittersweet character that annoys me, but a decent drink all the same.

Cask @Leinster Arms: Clear, amber coloured, creamy off-white head, sticking to the glass; dry solid medical-hoppy nose, supported by butterscotch; solid dry bitter flavour, light to medium bodied; light to moderate - lingering - herbal-hoppy finish with fruity-malty traces. Fine session-beer..........

Cask at the Wharf, Aalborg. A copper to brown beer, clear, with a minimal off-white head. The aroma has caramel tending towards butterscotch, and fruity and piney hops. The flavor is much the same, with a nice bitterness. Medium body. Lasting finish with pinecones and a fine bitterness. Flavorful and easy to drink, but I could easily do without the butterscotch suggestions. (081022)

Cask @ Beer Exposed, September 2008.
Pours a nice, clear, redish copper with a small, bubbly, off-white head. Aroma has some cardboard, caramel and toffee. Medium carbonation, a bit thin. Flavour is soft, pretty dull, but with good caramel and some dryness in the finish. A touch of metal off-flavours as well.
