Commercial Description:
Friar’s Belgian White Ale! Everyone loved the jovial Friar Tuck. His Belgian Ale is a creamy brew flavored with orange peel and coriander for a pleasant citrus-spice sweetness.

Cloudy light yellow with a medium white topper. Aroma of coriander, orange peel, fruity yeast and dough. Taste of coriander, grains and mild orange. A bit thin, but otherwise okay.

Bottle . A cloudy orange color body with a thin fizzy short lasting white head ,medium carbonation. Aroma is slightly yeasty , coriander or some other spice , banana and a fruit like maybe apple skins . Flavor is quite malty but not too sweet , a nice wheat tang , more spice a light bitterness , orange peel coriander and a hint of alcohol . Medium body with a full mouthfeel , slightly dyr finish . Quite sessionable and not a bad drinker . Better than expected .

Bottle from the Orland Park, IL, Binny’s Beverage Depot: It poured a hazy straw body with a short-lived fizzy head. The aroma was some sweet bready malt, a twist of lemon, and some light spices. Very spritzy mouthfeel. The flavor was white bread with sugar on it, coriander, and lemon. Okay, but there’s much better out there for less.

Bottle: Hazy golden with a dense white head- good retention. Damp wheaty aroma with an apple-lke hint and honeyish maltose background. Mild spice presence is there as well with a note of coriander- a touch of bubblegum phenols as well. Crisp mouthfeel with a fairly dry wheaty flavor. Drier than the aroma suggests. The phenolics give it a nice dry/white pepper like note accompanied by a light coriander note. The back displays some lavender as well. A solid take on the style.

Light cloudy yellow color with some micro bubbles. Tastes like gumballs with lemon zest. Some white spice in the nose. Quite fizzy throughout. Short finish. Rather dry.

Pours hazy gold into a tumbler. Bright white head quickly recedes to hug rim. Sour orange and clove aromas. Sweet orange upfront with a dry, lasting wheat finish.

Cloudy yellow pour with white head. Clove, coriander, some fruit. Semi-sweet, clove, coriander, balanced. It is an OK beer. Aftertaste is OK. Some lacing.

My Bottom Line:
This perfumy Witbier focuses on its orange peel and coriander seeds, spicy flavors emboldened by fluffy and expansive carbonation.

Further Personal Perceptions:
-A veil of foam covers the hazy golden.
-Subtle diacetyl is found in the aroma.
-Floral notes abound, alongside simple pale cereals.
-A light herbaceous hop character peers through the back end.
-While this is very drinkable, it may be a tad too sweet for my liking (in the style).

Bottle.
