| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Mar 12, 2009 Pours copper with a 2 finger beige head that has decent retention but fades to a skim that stays. Aroma is caramel, toast, dark fruits, honey, and some sweet bread notes. Flavor is grainy malt, toast, stale french bread, caramel planty hops a hint of grass and more alcohol than should come through. Finish is slightly metalic, herbal, and caramely. Palate is medium to thin a little slick and somewhat over carbonated. Overall this is a pretty weak doppelbock but it is drinkable and really cheap. KnN (744), Greenbelt, Maryland, USA

Aroma is roasted malt and a bit of hops. Flavor is kind of burnt and off with a real mule kick of bitterness on the back. May have to re-rate when I’m more prepared. Not very good.
