Jan 28, 2006 This IS the best beer that Shiner makes - it has more of a traditional German flavor than the basically bland bock.

Jan 4, 2006 Pours amber with a thick white head. aroma is mainly citrus and malts. Slightly sweet, malty flavor. Finish left a strange metallic feeling in my mouth.

Dec 31, 2005 Amber with an off white head. Aroma is lightly malted with some nutty and roasted notes. Tastes highly carbonated like carbonated water bad. Some malt, but no real taste at all. Just carbonated, fizzy, malt water. Fizzy carbon mouthfeel that ends dry.

Dec 26, 2005 Thanks to John for being generous and giving me a bottle. Seeing the ratings, I don’t expect much... It pours to an actively carbonated deep amber body with a pretty thick creamy white head. The aroma is stale and cardboardy. Old pine cones. The flavor is cereal and soapy grass hops. Tastes nothing like a fest beer. Not a fan.

Dec 20, 2005 Pours a clear amber color, small white head. Aroma is cereal malt, a little apple nuance, very grainy. Flavor is smooth, a little soapy, cereal malts, and grains, interesting.

Dec 20, 2005 Pours gold with a thin white head. Smells of citrus and malt liquor. Taste is extremely metallic with some mellowing orange notes, mainly a zest that reminds me of cleaner with some pine sol thrown in. Watery and plain.
