Commercial Description:
A Bohemian Black Lager is a rare and delicious style of beer, referred to in Germany as "Schwarzbier". Shiner Bohemian Black Lager remains true to this old-world style by using imported Czech Saaz and Styrains Hops and select roasted malts to make it our darkest beer. First brewed to commemorate our 97th anniversary, this Bohemian Black Lager remains true to the old-world heritage of the German and Czech immigrants that settled Shiner. Prosit!

tastes of water and carbonation, like cheap american beer . has some nice malted taste, but, really, making it dark isnt going to make up for very much.

12 oz bottle. Pours dark mahogany with smallish beige head. The aroma is very sweet malt with lots of dark caramel and a few roasty hints. The flavor is even roastiness and ash over some mild sweet caramel. The finish is char and a little bit of earthy hops. The mouthfeel is a little on the thin side. Quite a bit of potential, but it does not quite get there.

Bottle.Beer pours very dark mahogeny color with ruby red highlights and a nice creamy beige colored head. Aroma is dark roasted malt with some light smoke. Flavor is malty, bready, with a very decent amount of smokiness. A very good beer as far as being from Shiner. Like the label.Drinkable but not special.

12oz. Bottle: Aroma of roasted and burnt malts, slight smoke, light hops, herbs, slight chocolate, and some sewage. Really ford not smell good. Poured very dark brown in color with a small to medium-sized, tan head that diminished but lasted throughout. Clear. Sparkling. Flavor is Lightly sweet and lightly bitter. Tastes of water, roasted malts, cream, burnt coffee, and some herbs. Light to medium body. Thin, watery texture. Average carbonation. Bitter, burnt malt finish. Pretty bad.

This one gets an appearance 5 simply because the label is awesome. The rest of it is a watery malty roasty bullshit bomb of a beer that makes me want to sleep instead of drink.

Not bad, but not really a great beer Nice Dark color, good carbonation. The flavor is just really lacking, I dected some roasted malt, and coffee, bit not a very flavorful beer.

Cottle poured a clear dark brown with red highlights and a lasting creamy tan head. Aromas of roasted malt, carmel, light coffee and light charcoal. Palate was light bodied and smooth. Flavors of roasted malt, light charcoal and a hint of coffee with a smooth roasty finish.

I drink everything cold although I let this one warm up a bit later to get a complete opinion. It is good although not great. Not too heavy..it has the darkness without some of the overpowering flavor components of similar beers.
