Commercial Description:
A Bohemian Black Lager is a rare and delicious style of beer, referred to in Germany as "Schwarzbier". Shiner Bohemian Black Lager remains true to this old-world style by using imported Czech Saaz and Styrains Hops and select roasted malts to make it our darkest beer. First brewed to commemorate our 97th anniversary, this Bohemian Black Lager remains true to the old-world heritage of the German and Czech immigrants that settled Shiner. Prosit!

Nothing to it. Smelled great and looked menacing but tasted more like a Michelob ultra with some food coloring. May have been too cold but don’t think I’ll give it another whirl.

A session "big" beer? Nice toasted malt on the palate. Nice carbonation and an easy drink. Pretty good.

12 oz. bottle. Pours black with rimming, off white head produced from quickly dissipating half-finger foamy topper. Nose is mild chocolate and coffee with a touch of caramel. Taste is a caramel base with some mildly astringent roasty characters and a touch of chocolate. Slight earthy, grassy hop flavor towards the end with a crisp finish. Slight metallic taste. Not great, but not bad.

Bottle, Smells much better than it actually tastes. Aroma of dark chocolate and coffee. Very little off white head. Black amber color. Very boring for being such a good looking and smelling beer. Texture is too dry. Very dissapointing.

Picked up a six-pack in Delaware and was surprised to see Shiner products in the Diamond State. Roasted malt aroma and flavor, light bitterness, little caramel malts as well. I enjoyed Bohemian Black Lager, it packed a lot of flavor and was a good value.

Dark as a cola. Taste a tad stronger than a shiner bock. Scared a few bc of the labeling, but it is not that strong of an ABV.

Drank from a bottle, so simply gave it a three for appearance. Strong roasted flavor, almost burnt, and not much else. Just not really my cup of tea.
