Aroma of roasted nuts with a bit of chocolate to prop it up. Medium body and carbonation. Sort of starts creamy and finishes watery, with some brown sugar, and coffee in the mix. The finish wants to be crisp, but doesn’t quite get there. Not a bad little beer, though. dkachur (2379), Charlottesville, Virginia, USA

| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | May 29, 2008 Dark black pour no head. Let this one warm up - not too good cold. Once warm (room temp) a strong chocolately/toffee taste come forward. Easy to drink, great dark session brew. esjaygee (1531), Oak Creek, Wisconsin, USA

Pours dark as Coca-Cola, little to no head, thick smoky flavor. Strong roasted sensation, almost coffee like. A little watery. Not bad, though.
