Overall dark and creamy on the pour, it starts smooth with subtle notes of chocolate. Started out as their yearly anniversary, now is year round as Bohemian Black Lager. bleeng (598), Spring near Beersel, Texas, USA

Poured black with no head. Nose of sugar, malts, smoke, no alcohol. Taste is sweet, chocolate, caramel, malts. Good full body session beer-one of the best Shiner brews. Anyway, It pours a completely opaque black color from the bottle. Initially large fizzy head which dissipated quickly with no lacing. Seems to be too carbonated. Probably wont buy this again. puggy211 (591), cordova, Tennessee, USA

Not as smoky as I would like, but quite presentable. All black bottle pours motor oil black bubly. Maybe a bit too carbonated. Roasted malt is apparent, but does get in the way of the quaffability! Better than the bock!
