Black in color, small tan head consisting of tiny bubbles, Roasted malt aroma. Moderate carbonation. Flavor is of roasted malt, slight hint of pecan, chocolate and raspberry? Mouthfeel is bold, slightly creamy. Palate is strong, bordering on rough on the way down. Finish hangs around a little.
Bottle:
Dark almost opaque brown/black color. Large head that dissipates quickly. Little carbonation. Aroma of chocolate with a hint or raspberry. Taste is of dark roasted malt, almost burnt tasting. Very burned malt taste. jstraw (777), Chicago, Illinois, USA
