The beer itself tasted watery and slightly tangy. marcus (1902), Sacramento, California, USA

| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 4/5 | 11/20 | Feb 5, 2008 Light caramel aroma. Coppery amber color with a white head that rapidly flattened. Medium body with light, fizzy carbonation. Flavor is light caramel with some citrus/fruit hop. The finish is clean, and lightly bitter. Very drinkable. thedm (3836), Fort Wayne, Indiana, USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Feb 1, 2008 This bottled brew from JSquire at a rating party poured a small sized head of foamy fine to large sized white colored bubbles that were and left behind a transparent softly carbonated golden brown colored body and a poor lacing. The aroma was musty and malt hop. The mouth feel was weakly tingly at the start and at the finish. The flavor contained notes of malt and hops. An OK brew just nothing special. gotohelunc (476), Chapel Hill, North Carolina, USA
| 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 4/5 | 9/20 | Jan 30, 2008 Bottle. Clear golden color, not much head. Smells like honey and straw, although mostly like nothing. There’s some malt character to this stuff, but mostly it tastes like a more flavorful standard American lager. I’m not sure how much it costs, but it’s a perfectly fine session beer and most non-craft beer drinkers would like it ok. Goes down smooth without totally tasting like water. daniellerose7 (119), new york, New York, USA

Yuck. It is a sin to call this even Bavarian style. ben1270 (4), Austin, Texas, USA does not count | 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jan 27, 2008 A good addition to the Shiner collection here. Golden honey pour with a good unique taste.
