Commercial Description:
You're holding an old-world inspired anniversary beer, commemorating 99 years of handcrafted brewing at the Spoetzl Brewery in Shiner, Texas. The countdown to 100 continues with this refreshingly bright Munich Style Helles Lager. Every glass of malty gold is topped with an aromatic cloud of mild, Hallertau hoppiness. Its slightly sweet finish is perfectly suited for any celebration. Prosit!

Bottle - Excellent clarity and nice color with a white head. Very bready aroma. A very nice beer. I think the flavor could stand for a tad more maltiness and a hint less sweetness.

Has a sweet, bread malt flavor. Light on hops and finishes smooth and clean.

Poured clear gold with a decent white head that produced spots of lacing. The aroma was sweet, malty and sort of citrusy. The flavor was malt and light spice with some tart citrus and definite metallic notes. The mouthfeel was thin and the finish clean. This brewery continues to underwhelm me.

Not the worst beer Ive had, but Its not my style. Much like their shiner blonde, malty, thin, very sweet, has that same shiner after taste. I just dont prefer a beer that the sweetness is the defining flavor.

Bottled. Pours out a clear, caramel colour with a small white head and no lacing. Nice aroma of malt, sugar and a hint of hop bitterness. Pleasant flavour that starts out malty but finishes with a little bitterness. Pretty good of the type.

Definitely has the Shiner character, malty and sweet. A bit cloying on the end, could have used a bit more hops in the flavor to stop the molasses like finish.

Bottle. Pours a golden yellow with a decent, clingy, white head that fades some but lasts. The taste is of malt and is kind of sweet. Has a nice aroma that matches the taste. Overall, this is a great tasting, refreshing beer that is pretty fulfilling and offered at a nice price.

Pours a clear gold with a fizzy, fast fading head. Aroma and flavor are all sweet malt. Really nothing else happening here. A bit thin and undercarbonated. Average.
