Aug 4, 2005 Bottle. Sweet wheat malt aroma. Golden yellow color wiht small head and slight efferverscence. Sweet corn flake malt flavor. Smooth but the corn flake flavor isn’t something I like much.

Jul 7, 2005 This is an ok beer with very good palate. It is smooth and easy to drink, but unremarkable in any other way. Yellow, no head. Light hop flavor. Better as it warms.

Jun 10, 2005 Bottle. Something is missing from this beer. This is probably my least favorite shiner brew. The smell is slight wheat/hops with a strong metallic finish. The taste is very bland with slight hops and a small hint of caramel and sweet malts. It was ok after mowing the lawn. I gave a lil bit to the grass..

May 23, 2005 This is hardly a "blonde" except for a touch of wheat in the finish. Cheap macro flavor and appearance. Texas has a strong Mexican influence of course, and similarly perhaps, Texas is known for great mixed drinks but lousy beer.

May 17, 2005 Pale gold with fizzy head and aromas of hopcit and a tad of honey. Tastes pale malty, with some hopcit in the finish.

May 16, 2005 The aroma is pretty awful and has that "hurts when i pee" yellow coloring, with quick-dissovling head. Reminiscent more of a pale lager almost than a pilsener. Boring and bland. I’m very pleased that the store I bough all the Shiners at sells them singly.

May 7, 2005 Updated: Apr 7, 2006Bottle: It was very thin on the pour, tasted a little on the thin side (even for a blonde). Its aroma was similar to a macro, although less cardboard. I actually really enjoyed the taste. I thought it was rather honey flavored, and perhaps a touch of banana. The head of foam was very soapy in texture though, and that was wierd. I didn’t think it was that bad, but I am new to this whole good beer thing, so who knows?

Apr 28, 2005 Wow, this is the best beer I have ever had, I love Shiner Blonde. Sarcasm doesn’t translate well when typed. The emotions just don’t come through. In truth, this beer is truly terrible. When poured, large bubbles erupt from the sides of the glass, just like mountain dew, and like mountain dew, it tastes horrible. Lastly, I don’t like this beer.
