Also, smells like captain crunch without the berries, perhaps rice chex soaked in water. Watery and fizzy. BMan1113VR (2958), Los Angeles (and Dallas), Texas, USA
| 1.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 1/5 | 4/10 | 1/5 | 6/20 | Mar 16, 2009 Pours with a small white head that goes quickly over a clear, pale yellow body. Aroma of corn, hay and a touch of honey sweetness. Taste is cereal tea, adjuncts, light cardboard and a bit of diacetyl. Fizzy and dry mouthfeel. Extremely thin and not repeatable... ilovedarkbeer (1369), Dallas, Texas, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 2/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Mar 13, 2009 Pours a very pale straw color with a medium to small soapy white head. Nose is sour dough bread but that blows off quickly, fresh uncooked corn. Taste is buttered popcorn, bread, hints of corn. Watery yet carbonated and acidic mouthfeel. Medium short finish. Nothing offensive at all but very basic and a poor representation of a pilsener. Some one referred to this as Shiner’s worst offering... see the hefeweizen. ljstephenson (114), Lawton, Oklahoma, USA
| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 9/20 | Feb 20, 2009 Clear golden pour with a thin white head, a bit too hoppy for a blonde, doesn’t finish all that well either. badnloose (99), North Hollywood, California, USA
| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Feb 11, 2009 The lowest offering from Shiner, though it was so hard to find outside back home that I savored it. Very standard. Nothing bad. milljam (584), Norman, Oklahoma, USA
| 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Feb 10, 2009 Blah....blah....blah. Terrible pilsener....not that I like pilseners that much...but this is just bad. No balance....bad aftertaste.....I could go on, but why be mean. Cavie (1509), Fort Worth, Texas, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Feb 5, 2009 I consider this to be a lighter version of Shiner Light. The color is a pale yellow, and the taste is slightly watered down. Sparky27 (1642), Phoenix, Arizona, USA
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Jan 26, 2009 Bottle. Pours a clear yellow with a one finger foamy white head. The nose is grain and light hops. Taste is grassy grains, sweet malt and light pilsener hops. Medium prickly mouth feel. Not that bad for what it is. Refreshing palalte cleanser.
