| 2.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 3/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Aug 29, 2008 This poured very light golden in color with almost no head and left no lacing. Aroma is mostly grain with little of anything else. Flavor is light with a little sweetness, very light on the carbonation and a very light mouth feel. Not much too it. Aroma of grains, malt, and a little sweetness. Taste of the same with a grainy corn aftertaste along with some dryness. This light bodied brew is typical from Spoetzl. v64 (74), Austin, Texas, USA
| 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 2/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Aug 21, 2008 Pours pale yellow, slight head. Slightly skunky aroma. Taste, one word: mediocre. Even for a pilsener, it’s just flat and lifeless. That being said, there’s certainly a lot worse out there more deserving of scores below 2, but that doesn’t excuse this one. bhensonb (4374), Woodland, California, USA
| 1.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 2/10 | 2/5 | 2/10 | 2/5 | 8/20 | Aug 16, 2008 Bottle from the Coop in Davis, CA. Label is a bit toned down these days. PIcture is of a couple of guys. Brassy gold color with a decent white head. Aroma is grain, and the hop I hoped for, I didn’t get. Near medium body with fizzy/creamy carbonation. Flavor is a mix of pale malt and grain with a wet paper taste substituting for hop. There is hop, because there is a light burn in the finish. Unless that’s the 4.4%! Blah, ’sa rite, but why? MY ANTLERS ARE BAKED. wxman (592), O’Fallon, Illinois, USA
