A: Yellow & Gold with a decent firm head.
S: Smells of cereal and other grain.
T: A hint of malt, cereal, and grian that is not to overpowered and not to subtle; Has a nice balance of sweetness and has a very low bitterness rate.
D: Excellent drinkability. Very smooth. drinkitup (13), Spring, Texas, USA

I drank it back when it was cheap but now they command a premium price for it. Still a pretty good beer brewed to be light and drinkable for the hot Texas climate. mar (1847), Dallas, Texas, USA

The color is great gold and such a clean taste. A little plain, but very easy to drink. One of my favorite blondes. Great sub for boring commericail beers superdude1979 (61), Phoenix, Arizona, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 17/20 | May 31, 2009 This was the first shiner product I had, which was before my Ales conversion. A great lighter beer, better than any macro light. Smooth and crisp taste, no real aftertaste, but a very drinkable beer, good for the summer time or BBQ’s, I would buy this beer again. vacek (67), College Station, Texas, USA

Not nearly as good as the real thing but I would take it over the other domestic lights we all know about.
