Bottle 12oz. - Poured clear dark amber color with no foam. Aroma - sweet fruity toasted malt, actually decent for a lager! Flavor - Toasted cereal taste, somewhat sweet and faint metallic taste. Palate - Very thin mouthfeel and has good carbonation. Finish is short and has dry aftertaste. Overall - Not a horrible beer, it’s just boring! Typical American lager and I will leave it at that.

Not much to speak of in terms of aroma, palate, etc. However, for what it is, this is fairly enjoyable. The colder the better on this one.

Dark lager with a reddish hue, airy fizz for a head, and strong, steady carbonation. You can tell just by looking at it that it’s a lager. Lacing bubbly, slides fast, so technically I’m not sure there is lacing. Lager aroma with lightly roasted malts. Smooth, dense yet light mouthfeel, followed by a lightly bitter metallic flavor. The head and carbonation are quite noisy. Very airy feel - you can even feel it on your lips. Sweet finish. Easy to drink a 6 pack!

Pours a dark copper color with thin off white head. Aroma is of caramel and sweet malt, not much hop profile here. Taste is intense caramel malt, light toasted grain and some metallic flavor. Moderate carbonation but it’s definitely lacking something. Blech.

Bottle from The Tin Can in Nashville. I’ve had plenty of these and had yet to rate one, so here goes. Pours clear brown with a beige head that vanishes quickly. Aroma of caramel malts, flat cola, caramel, toast, and a bit of hops. Flavor is sweet and malty without the hops I’d expect from a ’bock.’ Sticky, medium bodied, flavorful, and not bad for a mass-marketed beer from the little brewery in Shiner.

Poured from a bottle amber color with little head that very quickly goes away. Smells of a lighter lager then I would normally expect from this style. Not really sweet to me or overly hoppy. Just a little bit there to remind you that you are in fact drinking beer. Rather weak and flat palate and finish. I know that it’s called the Yuengling of the south but at least Yuengling is labeled as a regular lager and not as a bock and maybe that it’s because of I’m from PA that I’d rather drink a Yuengling then this. Not horrible and probably better then most things that I could buy for the price but it’s not saying much. Just a typical easy drinking, cheap american beer that we’re used to. Like anything this cheap it’s better cold then anything else. Sorry Texas but I’ll stick with Yuengling.

Aroma is a bit burnt, not appetizing at all, i cant place the smell, but it certainly isnt very traditional... Smells a bit like used deep fryer oil... clear dark amber... Sweet, malty, not hoppy, tastes better than it smells... average at best, medium bodied, watery finish...
