Bottle. Deep amber pour with a medium head that dissipated quickly. Very light caramel malt aroma. Flavor of sweet malt without much else going on. Fair amount of carbonation. I guess I’d agree with what seems to be the general consensus; inoffensive and easy to drink, but mostly boring. Would probably work well as an early transition beer from macros to micros.

This is the first dark beer that I ever really enjoyed, so I credit it for helping me get over the ’’dark beer fear’’. It had been a year or so since I had a bottle, so I decided to give it a try. Nice balanced, malty/hoppy smell. The flavor is very smooth and pleasing. The carbonation is balanced. The color is a light brown color. pleasing aftertaste because of the malt. Overall a good beer to keep around.

A nice bock to have around out of season. Not much going on in the aroma a little sweat. Looks a lot like other bocks. Flavor is malty but not very complex. Palate is flat. I’d only buy this one buy the 12 pack. Good to have around when I don’t want to give out my good beer to those who might not appreciate it.

Not a bad brew...don’t pay a premium price for it, but otherwise its smooth and enjoyable.

A nice beer to have around. Smooth, drinkable, with a maltiness that makes it stand out from other very commonly available beers.

Clear reddish-orange color with a thin off white head that completely disappears. Nutty bitter chocolate aroma slight cherry wood. The body is fairly creamy. Taste is very nutty, malty with a hoppy bite on the finish followed by lingering steel and black cherries.

The classic "high-end" beer of many midwest bars. It’s okay. Pours nut brown, small white head. Flavor is malt with no hops. Kind of light. It’s easy to drink but nothing much to it.

This is a bock? Oh yeah, it’s got a ram on the label. Lots of bready malts on the nose, more of the same in flavor. Definitely drinkable, just not very exciting. Not "distinctive [and] full-flavored" like it’s advertised.
