8/8/07 From the bottle. Aroma is sour malt forward with light fruity esters, some DMS. Very light aroma overall. Appearance is deep amber with a medium off-white head. Flavor is lightly grainy, slightly sweet malt forward followed by medium bittering and light hop flora. Mouthfeel is medium bodied, clean, with a low carb texture and dry finish. Overall, just slightly more malty than a light lager, but the same low flavor profile.

355 ml bottle. Pours a clear deep mahogany with a fairly non-existent head. Malty nose with a touch of tartness. Semi-dry medium body with a highly carbonated edge.

Pours a deep amber color with a small white head and noticeable carbonation. Aroma is faintly malty, and taste is the same, though a tad rough due to the carbonation. Not great but not bad either.

Amber in color, smells a bit malty. If you have a choice between Bud, Miller, or Shiner, pick the Shiner. It’s much better.

Outside- good look, appeal Inside- pours small head, coloring is of a Coke almost, not as dark... Aroma- not strong, pleasantly present though Drinkability is great, smooth and refreshing Overall- A good beer on a warm, humid day... I did not like this beer 3 years ago and came back and tried it again, was really good.................. Not as good as I initially thought, but still solid, headache hangover if you drink over 5

Re-rate11-19-07 bottle. Funky malt aroma. Little to no real flavor. Watery and bland. Better than Bud Light - but nothing special. Thin brown color with no lasting head. Extra points overall because it is a Texas beer.

Smells of malt, caramel mostly with perhaps a tiny hint of hops. Pours a dark brown, clearish color with a bit of head. Carbonated well, with a fairly subdued taste at first, then a sweet, smooth malt finish. Fairly light bodied overall, easy to drink.
